The concept of being part of a wireless classroom and extending the learning outside the classroom walls goes back to my roots from my first three years of teaching at Winona Cotter High School where I was part of a three person team that developed a "Virtual School" initiative. I truly believe a 1-1 community of wireless learners is the future of education.
Melissa Kalinowski 8th Grade Social Studies The Kalinowski Boys I'm interested in incorporating more hands on learning opportunities for my students.

on the 7th grade end of an 7-8 loop in Social Studies ShenendoahShendoah National Park was lovely but it took a five climb to get to and from this spot. Beware the circle route! I'm interested in the paper saving aspects of 1-1 computer use. If we can download textbooks or provide internet access to them, we could reduce the use of a lot of paper and cut down textbook expenses too.
Margaret Smith 8th Grade Language Arts Owen I am excited about the potential changes access to technology will bring to the classroom.
Dan Wymore 6th Grade Science/LA Mt. Edgecomb I love technology and its potential in education. Plus, I heard this was the CoP all the "Cool Teachers" were joining.
Beth VonEschen 8th Grade Science Gooseberry Falls I love how the interwrite pad has changed the way that I teach and my students learn. I am hopeful and confident that the wireless initiative will continue improve my instruction and help us become part of the 21st century.
Jeff Krause Enriched and General Biology - EHS Walleye on Lake of the Woods I am excited about the possibility this holds for some of our students.
Mel Padden Social Studies 7-8 loop- Valley View

Participants - Edina Go Wireless CoP
My daughter and I went to Namibia this summer and played with cheetahs.
Having laptops in my classroom would help to provide real world experiences for my students in French on a regular basis. It could also help to teach writing in a more motivating way.
